  • Ghost text after backspace, fixed. Typing while scrolled (a single trackpad bounce can do it) painted the wrong band, so deleted characters appeared to stick around. Plain typing now also snaps the view back to live, same as Terminal.app / iTerm.
  • Mouse clicks work again in htop / vim / tmux. The scrollback-selection refactor made mouse-tracking apps see bogus row coordinates; reporting is correct now.
  • Default shell tracks your login shell. Reads it from Directory Services (so chsh changes take effect immediately, no logout needed) and falls back to /bin/zsh — the macOS default since Catalina — instead of /bin/bash.

    • ANSI colors now match the configured palette. Previously libvterm resolved indexed colors against its own built-in defaults, so htop, vim, ls --color, git diff all rendered with the wrong palette (worst case: usernames in htop almost invisible on a black bg).
    • Text selection in scrollback works. Clicking after scrolling up no longer snaps the view back to the prompt; selection coordinates are now absolute, so click-drag, double-click word, triple-click line, and Cmd+C all behave correctly across scrollback and the live screen.
    • Reverse-video cells with opacity < 1 now apply the opacity to the actual background, not the text.
    • Window resizes propagate to inactive tabs — background shells no longer lay out for the old size.
    • During the first-launch intro, Cmd+W / Cmd+T / Cmd+Q etc. now work; only Esc / Enter dismiss the welcome.
